Your home for all things German.
The German Club at UCLA is a student organization for anyone curious about German-speaking cultures. From Berlin Techno to Goethe, from Fischbrötchen to Swiss Käsefondue, from the Habsburgs to the Goldene Zwanziger.
Make German Culture feel close, even from 9,000 km away.
We're undergraduate and graduate students at UCLA who love the German language and the worlds it opens. Some of us grew up speaking it at home; others are just starting with Hallo, wie geht's?
The club hosts a weekly Stammtisch, regular cultural nights, and a handful of bigger events each quarter. Oktoberfest in the fall, a Weihnachtsmarkt in winter, and a spring hike we insist on calling a Wanderung.
We work closely with UCLA's Department of European Languages and Transcultural Studies and welcome visiting students from German-speaking countries.
Offen
Heritage, learner, or just curious — every level fits.
Neugierig
We're as into modern Berlin as we are into Bach.
Gemütlich
No hard expectations, just good company and the occasional Brezel.
